After my PC froze one day and I had to pull over on the highway to go to the trunk and reset it the thought occurred to me that there had to be an easier solution. The next day we developed our extended reset button and power LED harness.
We tried to optimize the design for universal use, however the locking metal 8mm metal connector is a direct replacement for the reset button on our Black Box Mobile series cases, just remove the stock reset button and replace it with the harness. If you have a different case all you have to do is drill a 5/16" hole to install it. The color coded wiring and standard pin header connectors make the internal connections a snap. The other half of the cable is 16'/5m long so it will reach from the trunk to the dash of most vehicles and the wiring is twisted for easy installation. If you are making a shorter run between your dash and PC we include heat shrink tubing and the wire can be cut to length. Both the reset and LED have bulk head mounts for easy installation behind a trim or kick panel.
